Job Description:
Goettl is a long-standing, multi-state residential HVAC and plumbing company. We're looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment and knows how to keep multi-location accounting clean and accurate. This is a 100% in-office role. What You'll Do Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Handle monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the close process Ensure GAAP compliance across a multi-state operation Review financial results and respond to audit requests Support local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements Partner with the Accounting Manager on daily accounting work and special projects Help improve and scale accounting processes as the company grows Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail What We're Looking For Experience as a GL Accountant or Staff Accountant SAGE EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED, but not required Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-state environment Background in home services, construction, trades, or similar industries strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, reconciliations) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working under deadlines in an in-office setting Experience with accounting software and financial tools Additional Requirements Ability to pass a background check and drug screen upon offer Why Goettl Competitive pay with growth opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Stable, established company with long-term growth If you're an experienced accountant who wants hands-on responsibility in a growing home services business - apply today.
