This position is responsible for administering a wide range of procurement activities, including competitive solicitations, purchase orders, and contract management. The Purchasing Analyst supports departmental, divisional, and university objectives and goals, while providing high-quality service to campus stakeholders. Role of the Position Under the direction of the Executive Director, Purchasing Manager, or Senior Purchasing Analyst, the Purchasing Analyst independently performs procurement functions in compliance with Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) policies, Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), UNLV policies and procedures, and public procurement best practices. Primary responsibilities include administering procurements, preparing and negotiating contracts, reviewing and managing purchase orders, conducting market research, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, coordinating pre-bid meetings, expediting orders, supporting major procurement projects, providing customer service, identifying cost savings opportunities, and contributing to measurable cost savings. Minimum Qualifications This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 1-3 years of purchasing experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
