Applicant lists may be screened more than once. Why does the job exist?Incumbent will provide social work services to resident of the Adult Psychiatric Division (APD). How does it get done?Incumbent works with treatment team to facilitate discharge planning activities such as contacting potential discharge locations, providing necessary documents, being a contact point for potential discharge locations. Who are the customers?Patients/Residents/Clients Ideal CandidateIdeal candidate would have:-Experience working with treatment planning;-Experience working with providing direct effective treatment to patients;-Experience working with various psychotherapeutic modalities;-Experience working with mentally ill;Must be licensed in accordance with the Social Work Practice Act,Sections 61-31-1 through 61-31-25 NMSA 1978, and 16.63.1 through 15-63-20 NMAC. Minimum QualificationHigh School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in a substance abuse and or behavioral disorder counseling environment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
