stage of a project Job Description We are seeking CMT Technicians midlate Spring 2026 to join our team on large multi year projects You will be a part of seasoned highly qualified team that performs geotechnical and materials engineering Construction Materials Testing CMT and construction inspections of some of the most highly complex and transformational infrastructure projects in our region Notable Atlas projects in West Texas include the Childrens Museum La Nube I 10 Widening Transmountain Border Expressway formerly Northeast Parkway Starlight Event Center and the almost every major roadway in El Paso We will be supporting and you will have an opportunity to be a part of advanced manufacturing mission critical DOT and enormous federal projects in our region Our team is dedicated to creating leaders in our community so we will provide extensive training and continuous guidance to help you develop professionally Additionally we operate as a team and will make sure your input is valued as we win and deliver these transformational projects Core Responsibilities Performs construction related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing CMT Manager and Senior EngineerTravels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Southeast Texas area with the potential for overnight andor weekend as neededRelays information to project manager andor engineer with limited in field decision makingTransports equipment test specimens andor documents to field personnel laboratory clients or other offices and provides physical assistance in equipment set upEnters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronicallyPerforms field quality control tests of in place concretePerforms field density testing on soil concrete asphalt and other construction materialsAssists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and assists other departments as necessaryFollows Atlas safety plans programs policies and proceduresYoull thrive here if you have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent2 years Construction or CMT experience a plusTXDOT or ACI certifications are a plusOSHA 10 a plusWilling to learn and work any shift that is neededWhat
