Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Lamont, California

Providing advanced respiratory care across diverse healthcare settings, this Registered Respiratory Therapist role involves delivering complex treatments and diagnostic procedures to patients of all ages. Under medical supervision, you will administer therapies including IPPB, humidity and aerosol treatments, medical gas, pulmonary drainage, and continuous mechanical ventilation. Responsibilities extend to performing electrocardiography testing, arterial blood gas sampling, pulmonary function testing, and cardiorespiratory resuscitation. Key duties include operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, ensuring infection control practices, responding to emergency calls, and documenting all aspects of patient care accurately. This role also serves as a technical resource for physicians and staff, offering guidance on respiratory treatments and monitoring patient progress. You will instruct patients and families in equipment use and disease management, develop individualized care routines, and assist with bronchoscopies and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Participation in quality assurance and staff training is also essential.
