Senior AR Medicaid Pending Coordinator

Accela Healthcare - Accela Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable & Medicaid Specialist to support our skilled nursing facilities from a corporate level. This role is critical in ensuring timely reimbursement, accurate tracking of Medicaid pending accounts, and strong communication between facility teams and corporate operations.This is not a billing role—rather, this individual will serve as a liaison and subject matter expert, helping drive accountability, visibility, and resolution of AR and Medicaid-related items across multiple facilities.Why Join Accela Healthcare?Corporate-level visibility and impact across multiple facilitiesExcellent benefits packageCollaborative, fast-paced environmentOpportunity to play a key role in improving financial performanceKey Responsibilities:Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging across assigned facilitiesTrack and report on all Medicaid pending accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolutionAct as a liaison between facility business offices and corporate leadershipIdentify trends, delays, and barriers to reimbursement and escalate as neededPartner with facility teams to improve AR performance and reduce outstanding balancesProvide regular reporting on AR status, Medicaid pending, and key revenue cycle metricsEnsure compliance with state-specific Medicaid processes and timelinesSupport audits and assist in resolving discrepancies related to AR and payer sourcesQualifications:Minimum of 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting (required)Strong knowledge of Medicaid pending processes and reimbursement workflowsExperience working with multiple facilities or in a centralized/corporate support role preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and follow-up skillsAbility to communicate effectively with both facility-level and corporate stakeholdersProficiency in Excel and familiarity with healthcare billing/EMR systemsSalary based on experience.Accela is an equal opportunity and drug free employer.
