Utility Locator Technician

Compensation: $21.50 Hourly Are you someone who loves working outdoors and enjoys hands-on, independent fieldwork? Your Role as a Utility Locator: Safely and efficiently locate various underground utilities like telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems. Conduct thorough searches in designated areas, accurately marking utility locations and completing necessary documentation with photographic evidence for each locate. These are full-time positions with day shifts. We usually work the day after holidays and some weekends to meet our 48-hour turnaround time on many locates. What We Are Looking For: Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong computer skills. Availability for overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts as needed. Must pass a drug screening (this is a safety-sensitive role). Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Capability to work in confined spaces, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs. Able to distinguish colors for utility markings and read locate tickets, maps, and prints. Effective communication skills with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
