Evaluation Completed by Assistant Superintendent JOB GOAL(S): The Certified Hearing Itinerant/Teacher of Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing supports students with hearing impairments by implementing individualized instructional programs aligned with District and State standards. Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, this role fosters student success through collaboration with staff, parents, and community resources. MAJOR DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The criteria indicated below are intended to describe various types of work that may be performed. The exclusion of specific responsibilities does not prohibit them if the work is similar, related, or a logical position task. * Develop and implement instructional programs tailored to students' individualized learning plans. * Deliver engaging lessons and adjust instruction based on student progress to support academic and interpersonal development. * Create and administer assessments aligned with instructional goals to evaluate and guide student learning. * Maintain accurate records to monitor and communicate student progress to parents, staff, and administration. * Manage student behavior and create a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment. * Integrate technology to enhance learning and promote creativity and collaboration. * Collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes and provide ongoing professional development. * Utilize formal and informal assessments to support continuous student development. * Demonstrate exemplary instructional practices, including effective technology integration. * Perform additional duties as assigned. * Strong communication skills and familiarity with district policies and Board of Education requirements. * Proven ability to create and implement effective instructional programs and manage classroom environments.
