Sr Business Analyst

NVision IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) who will participate in the execution of architecture assessments for all relevant aspects (ex., infrastructure, platform, application, data, and process). Contributes to the discovery assessment and supports the Lead with recommendations to address weaknesses and opportunities. Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite or Weekly M-F Travel) Clearance: Active Secret (Required) Citizenship: U.S. Citizen only (No dual citizenship) Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (as applicable) The Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) plays a key role in evaluating enterprise architectures, business processes, and system capabilities to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. The Sr. BA participates in architecture and discovery assessments across infrastructure, platforms, applications, data, and processes, and works closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate findings into actionable requirements and recommendations. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Discovery Support Participate in architecture assessments covering infrastructure, platform, application, data, and process layers Support discovery assessments by gathering, validating, and documenting current-state and future-state information Identify weaknesses, gaps, and opportunities within business and technical environments Collaborate with the Architecture Lead to develop recommendations and improvement strategies Contribute to assessment artifacts, diagrams, and analysis documentation Business Process Engineering Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement areas Facilitate process mapping workshops and stakeholder interviews Support process re-engineering initiatives aligned with business and technology goals Document current-state and future-state process flows Ensure process changes are practical, scalable, and measurable Requirements Gathering & Analysis Lead and support requirements elicitation sessions with business and technical stakeholders Translate business needs into clear, structured functional and non-functional requirements Validate requirements for completeness, clarity, and alignment with architecture and business objectives Maintain traceability between requirements, business goals, and technical solutions. Support solution design and implementation teams by clarifying requirements and resolving gaps Stakeholder Collaboration Act as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and leadership. Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences Support decision-making through data-driven analysis and structured documentation Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in business analysis and enterprise assessment initiatives Hands-on experience with business process engineering and optimization Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and validation Ability to analyze complex systems across infrastructure, applications, data, and processes Experience working with architects, engineers, and business leaders Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise or digital transformation initiatives Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF or similar) Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments Knowledge of data flows, integrations, and system dependencies Best Regards, Tim Khan Recruitment Team Lead NVision IT, LLC Direct: (703) 936-0059 Nvision IT, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
