Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree required, preferably in Theater or Technical Theater. Expertise and knowledge in theater, drama, performing arts groups including: staging,lighting, sound, etc. Experience with counterweight stage rigging Must have experience in organizing, scheduling, and planning events in a performance art setting. Experience with Midas M32 Digital Mix Board and ETC Ion XE preferred. QLab 5 Experience preferred Experience working with students preferred Must have strong communication skills. Must have demonstrated a positive attitude. Must be able to multi-task. Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Schedule activities in the Arts Center according to policies and procedures established by the school's administration and Board of Education. Report on a regular basis to the school administration on the facility's usage and currently planned activities. Coordinate program scheduling with other areas of the school (athletic activities avoid conflicts due to parking, noise, activity, equipment usage, rentals, outside vendors, etc.) Design scenery and create build drawings for LOHS Theater productions Maintain lighting and sound equipment at other LOCS buildings Function as Technical Director for all in-house productions including training student sound and light crews, scheduling and running technical rehearsals, attending set builds, and maintaining an overall calendar/schedule for all technical aspects of the production including scenery, costumes, lighting and props. Maintain the organization and function of all technical equipment in the auditorium. Schedule all LOCS and external (rental) events in the LOHS Auditorium wing using Operations Hero Serve as primary contact for all Auditorium rental events, overseeing all scheduling, event execution and billing Position will require some nights and weekends onsite. All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
