This role partners closely with the Visual Manager, corporate teams, and store leadership to ensure consistent, compelling visual presentation of product"”from initial receipt through sell-down.The Visual Merchandising Assistant plays a hands-on role in creating visual tools, supporting store execution, training teams, and maintaining visual documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, visual creativity, and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stores.Essential FunctionsVisual Standards & ExecutionEnsure all company visual standards and directives are consistently executed across stores.Create visually impactful displays that highlight product features, end use, and storytelling.Establish focal points within zones and displays to drive customer engagement.Maintain appropriate aisle width and spacing to ensure a clean and navigable sales floor.Identify opportunities to improve visual execution and partner with the Visual Manager on solutions.Product Management & Merchandising SupportManage product presentation throughout its lifecycle, including receiving, stock organization, tagging, signage, display setup, and sell-down solutions.Partner with store leadership to ensure proper fixture and product placement aligned with visual direction.Maintain visual accuracy and presentation during peak sales periods and promotional events.Visual Set Charts & DirectivesLead in the creation of product and visual set charts, including photos, fixture details, and merchandising direction.Support execution of visual charts for DOW, promotional sets, Tent Sales, and all municate visual direction to stores clearly and effectively, ensuring understanding and alignment.Track execution and follow up with stores on outstanding visual tasks.Store Sets, Moves & VisitsTravels to each store location quarterlyCollaborate with the Visual Manager to develop execution plans for floor sets and store moves.Work directly with stores to implement visual sets and address challenges during execution.Conduct store visits quarterly and during high-volume periods and as needed to support visual standards, sets, and training.Provide real-time feedback and solutions to store teams during visits.Product Training & Visual EducationTrain store teams on proper and alternative product usage to enhance selling and presentation.Create visual training materials and videos (e.g., table settings, promotional displays, signage placement, product-in-use demonstrations).Support updates to the Visual Binder, ensuring materials remain current and relevant.Fixtures & SignagePartner with the Visual Manager on evaluating and recommending display fixtures.Maintain and update the Fixture List, including photos, item numbers, and specifications.Ensure stores have appropriate signage quantities and correct placement for promotional and POP needs.Visual Documentation & ToolsMaintain the Visual Binder, including:Store planogramsSKU listsPhotos of initial setsSell-down solutions and notesEnsure documentation supports consistency and serves as a reliable reference for store teams.New Store OpeningsSupport new store openings by assisting with visual setup and merchandising execution, as scheduling allows.Partner with the Visual Manager to ensure new locations open with strong, on-brand visual presentation.Work Environment & ExpectationsSeasonal fluctuations in workload, including evenings or weekends during major sets or store openings.Not scheduled for regular sales floor coverage, but may be needed in special circumstanceTravelTravel to each store location at least quarterly, new store openings, store closings, Nutcracker market and as needed for additional projectsLocation:This position will be located in Baton Rouge, LA or Lafayette, LA
