The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a Distribution Technician. In this role you will be responsible for material availability for assembly consumption. The primary focus for the Distribution Technician will be moving material to the assembly line via stand-up, or sit-down fork truck. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Moving material to the assembly line via stand-up fork truck Helping Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts Making sure material is delivered to point of use in FIFO order Utilizing computer system to input parts orders and move interplant material Basic Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience. Must have good written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently. Basic computer skills. Top Candidates will also: Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands. Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs. Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat. Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed Must be able to stand on concrete for 8+ hours. Additional Information: Work Schedule: N2 Wednesday - Saturday 7PM 7AM 36 hours= 40 hours pay Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. Summary Pay Range: $22.65 - $29.45 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
