Applicants must be licensed from the State of Indiana in Business covering grades 9-12. Consideration will be given to applicants that are enrolled in a state approved transition to teaching program or that are eligible for an Emergency Permit in Business assuming the prerequisite business skills are possessed and verification of 4000 hours in the field. Those already on a certified contract with the Lafayette School Corporation should complete an INTERNAL application by Friday, March 13, 2026. Candidates that are not currently on a certified contract with the Lafayette School Corporation should complete an external application through Applitrack. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction in business-related courses that prepare students with practical skills for college, careers, and entrepreneurship. Courses may include areas such as business fundamentals, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and other career and technical education (CTE) business pathways. The Business Teacher will create a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, financial literacy, and real-world application of business principles while supporting the academic and personal growth of all students.
