Loan Systems Administrator

Job Title: Loan Systems Administrator Objective: The Loan Systems Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for the configuration, optimization, and integration of the bank’s loan origination platforms. This role requires deep functional knowledge of loan operations combined with strong technical skills to design workflows, build integrations, and support automation across the loan lifecycle. Classification: This is a full-time exempt position. Job Location: Howard County, Indiana Essential Functions Loan Origination System Engineering Serve as the technical owner for loan origination systems (Abrigo and Encompass). Configure and maintain loan products, workflows, disclosures, compliance rules, and user permissions. Design scalable, efficient workflows that support commercial and consumer lending. Lead system upgrades, releases, and regression testing. Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials. Integrations & APIs Build and support API-based integrations between LOS platforms and: Core banking systems Digital banking platforms Document preparation, eSignature, and third-party data providers Work hands-on with REST APIs, JSON payloads, webhooks, and middleware. Partner with IT and vendors to design secure, reliable data flows. Support automation initiatives that reduce manual processing and improve turnaround time. Loan Operations Partnership Collaborate with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and closers to improve system usability. Translate lending and compliance requirements into system configurations. Identify process gaps and recommend technical solutions. Compliance, Data & Controls Ensure LOS configurations support regulatory requirements including HMDA, CRA, TRID, RESPA, and Fair Lending. Validate data mapping and reporting outputs for regulatory filings and audits. Maintain data integrity, security controls, and access management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred. 4+ years of hands-on experience with loan origination systems, preferably Abrigo and/or Encompass. Demonstrated experience configuring LOS workflows, products, and compliance rules. Hands-on experience working with APIs or system integrations (REST, middleware, vendor APIs). Experience integrating LOS with core banking systems. Strong understanding of end-to-end loan operations. Ability to work independently and own production systems. Preferred Skills Experience integrating LOS with digital banking platforms. Familiarity with LaserPro or other document generation systems. Experience with workflow, case management, or automation platforms. Exposure to data reporting, audit support, or regulatory submissions. Experience supporting community or mid-sized financial institutions.
