How you'll make an impact in this role Protect the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by proactively identifying threats and responding to security incidents with a calm, decisive presence. Lead complex investigations and exercise legal authority, including making arrests when necessary, to ensure the hospital remains a safe, law-abiding environment for care. Collaborate with external law enforcement agencies and internal clinical teams to coordinate emergency responses and provide expert testimony that supports justice and safety. Empower the hospital community by facilitating safety training and education, ensuring every staff member feels prepared and supported in emergency situations. Manage critical mobile resources by operating and maintaining patrol vehicles safely, ensuring a rapid and reliable response across the entire campus. What minimum requirements you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Certification specializing in Peace Officer obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Law Enforcement Certificate obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required. Work Experience: Shall be at least 21 years of age in order to attend the required law enforcement training academy courses. What additional preferences we're seeking ILEA Academy Training is required. Highest level of professionalism, ethics, standards, and judgement preferred.
