Job Description:
Work as an MRI Technologist in a dynamic mobile MRI unit providing essential imaging services. This contract position offers an opportunity to perform a wide range of advanced MRI studies including brain, spine, MRA, body (abdomen, pelvis, chest), and musculoskeletal (long bone, joints) imaging. Operating primarily on Siemens equipment within a single scanner room, you will work closely with radiologists and maintain excellent communication with physicians while performing an average of 14 scans per day. Location: Positioned in Kingwood, WV, this role serves the surrounding community and benefits from the natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere typical of the area. Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM One MRI Technologist will cover 3 shifts/week, another will cover 2 shifts/week Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current ARRT or AMRT MRI certification plus WV MRI license BLS certification required Proficiency in MRI imaging including brain, spine, MRA, body, and MSK studies Experience working as a lone technologist and effective physician communication skills Comfortable starting IVs as part of routine duties Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC) and PACS (Fuji) Experience with Siemens MRI machines Ability to work collaboratively under a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality MRI imaging services adhering to department protocols Operate and troubleshoot Siemens MRI scanners effectively Communicate clearly with radiologists and clinical staff Perform IV placements when required Adhere to safety and patient care standards Additional Details: No weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirements Grey scrubs dress code; scrubs not provided This role works alongside two technologist assistants (TAs) This is a contract position offering the chance to contribute to quality imaging care within a specialized mobile unit environment.
