Payroll SupervisorApply Now 7866 2/4/2026Administrative Offices471 Albany AvenueKingstonAccountingDescriptionOur Finance Team is seeking a full-time Payroll Supervisor, who will manage the payroll function, including training and supervising payroll staff, and assuring the current process of paychecks and payroll tax processing is accurate and timely.Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to: Develop short-term and long-term plans and strategies for improving the efficiency of the Payroll team. Establish and revise procedures, performance standards and quality control measures to manage workload and the quality of work performed. Review payroll tax returns including reconciliation of 941 and W-2 forms to the general ledger Responsible for coordination of wage and hour inquiries for internal and external stakeholders Oversee the maintenance of staff master files and allocation tables. Coordinate with HR Department the maintaining of the payroll system database. Work collaboratively with HR Team members on any Day Force policies and procedures as well as contributing to new processes to improve efficiency for all users Supervise and approve the payroll journal entries and posting to the general ledger. Oversee timely and accurate distribution of payroll checks complying with proper internal controls. Maintenance of payroll records for cost reporting and all other internal and external reporting Pension reporting including quarterly retirement contribution filings and year end retirement plan audit Workers comp audit reporting Responsible for recording of payroll cash transactions and managing voids from Day Force (HR/Payroll system) Responsible for reconciliation of all payroll general ledger accounts including deduction and liability accounts HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - day schedule, must be flexibleSTARTING SALARY: $ 85,850 to $ 100,015.25 per year, based on relevant education and experienceMinimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a commensurate level of directly related experience Minimum seven years experience processing payroll on all levels Superior computer skills, including Microsoft Excel Understanding proper accounting treatment for payroll transactions and activities Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
