Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care Position Overview: Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care within a community-focused environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with physicians, assess, diagnose, and manage a diverse patient population, and contribute to improved health outcomes and community wellness. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive primary care services, including health assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, efficient patient care.Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and document patient encounters accurately.Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies.Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.Rotate through clinics and hospital settings as required, providing coverage for nursing homes and behavioral health services when needed.Participate in clinic workflows, including Saturday clinic rotations, with hours scheduled as four 10-hour days per week. Saturday sessions are compensated at a higher hourly rate.Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.Qualifications: Current Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of Louisiana.Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Valid Louisiana DEA registration.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; PALS and ACLS certifications preferred.Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in primary care or community health.Knowledge of clinical procedures, laboratory techniques, and accurate patient care documentation.Effective communication skills, with the ability to respond calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations.Physical ability to perform tasks that include lifting up to 100 pounds and maintaining proper body mechanics.Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturday clinic shifts.Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as PALS and ACLS.Experience with behavioral health assessments.Pediatric care experience or an interest in pediatric populations.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Prior experience working in hospital, outpatient, or community health settings.Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary range: $104,000 to $145,000 annually, depending on experience.Hourly pay rate: $90.00 to $100.00.Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week, with Saturday clinic rotation compensated at an enhanced rate.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.Paid time off and ongoing professional development opportunities.Opportunities for career advancement within a supportive healthcare environment.Additional Requirements: VMS certification with BLS required.Ability and flexibility to rotate through clinics and hospital settings.Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and maintaining professionalism at all times.Join Our Team: Take the next step in your nursing career by joining a team dedicated to excellence in healthcare.
