Manufacturing Design Engineer

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMachine Design and DevelopmentDesign and develop mechanical systems and componentsCreate detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD)Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory standardsManufacturing SupportCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for fabrication, machining, and assemblyProvide technical support during machine build, assembly and testingTroubleshoot design-related issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actionsSupport continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction and efficiencyProduct Improvement and InnovationEvaluate existing machinery and recommend design improvementsIncorporate feedback from field service technicians and customers into design updatesParticipate in R&D efforts for new machine features, automation, and performance enhancementsProject ManagementManage design projects from concept through production releaseDevelop timelines, track progress, and meet project deadlinesCoordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, controls, and purchasingManage multiple projects and tasks, with input from supervision, in accordance with prescribed schedules and resourcesDocumentation and ComplianceMaintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and revision controlEnsure compliance with applicable safety standardsDevelop technical manuals and support documentation as neededManage multiple projects and tasks, with input from supervision, in accordance with prescribed schedules and resources.
