Description:Position Title: HVAC Technician/ Certified & Licensed Department: Facilities DepartmentReports To: Maintenance Supervisor/ Director of FacilitiesFLSA Status: Non-ExemptLocation: Kansas City, MissouriPosition SummaryThe HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across properties owned and/or managed by the Housing Authority of Kansas City.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems.• Perform preventative maintenance.• Repair or replace components and systems as needed.• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detection.• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.• Respond to emergency service calls.• Maintain accurate service records and inventory usage.Benefits• Health, Dental, Vision.• Retirement/Pension.• PTO and Holidays. Requirements:Minimum Qualifications• High school diploma or GED.• 3-5 years of HVAC experience.• HVAC Journeyman or Mechanical License.• EPA Section 608 Certification.• Valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications• Multi-family /public housing experience.• Building automation systems experience.• Boiler systems experience.• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong diagnostic abilities.• Ability to work independently.• Good communication and customer service skills.Physical Requirements• Lift up to 75 pounds.• Climb ladders and work on rooftops.• Work in varying weather pensation details: 28 Hourly WagePIed9959c6ca80-31181-40400381
