Job Description:
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience and both Kansas and Missouri (or compact) RN licenses in hand for a hospital-based position requiring on-call availability and strong interventional and EP procedural skills. Job Details • Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting, • Averages 4 procedures per lab with approximately 16 visits per day, • Patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:3 on nights, • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00-16:30), • On-call required, including weekends, • Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required, • Charting performed in Epic, • Scrubs are provided by the facility, Job Requirements • Active MO or compact RN license required; both Kansas and Missouri (or compact equivalent) licenses must be in hand prior to consideration, as floating between facilities may be required, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab specialty experience required, including at least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days, • Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, including: cardiac stent placement, PCI, left and right heart catheterization, TAVR, Watchman procedure, pacemaker insertion, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, rotablator atherectomy, and angioplasty, • Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring, including Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale and end-tidal CO2 monitoring, • Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring including pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz and pharmacological stress testing, • Experience with vascular closure systems (e.g., Perclose, StarClose), sheath removal/monitoring, and laser-assisted procedures, • Skilled in medication administration including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, reversal agents, dobutamine, procedural sedation, and emergency medications, • Proficiency with IV access including PICC lines, implanted ports, central line management, and IV infusion pumps, • Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and support ventilator management, • 2 professional references required: one must be supervisor level or above, the second may be a charge RN; all references must be from someone who has worked with the candidate within the past year, • SSN required for consideration, Additional Information • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are considered local and are not eligible for this position, • RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract, • No travel partners accepted, • Pre-start compliance modules are required (approximately 10-15 hours total) and must be completed prior to the start of the assignment, • No pending licenses accepted - all required licenses must be in hand at time of consideration
