Position DetailsPrimary Department or Practice:UHS Surgery General Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity – Binghamton, NYUnited Health Services Hospitals (UHS) is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our expanding General Surgery team in Binghamton, NY.UHS is a not-for-profit, community-focused health system serving the Southern Tier of Upstate New York, with Primary and Specialty Care practices across Broome, Chenango, Delaware, and Tioga counties.Position OverviewThe General Surgery PA will work under the supervision of a board-certified general surgeon and be an integral member of a highly collaborative surgical team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing acute and chronic patient care, including patient histories and physical exams Performing pre- and post-operative patient management Wound care and suturing Monitoring therapies and prescribing appropriate medications Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests Assisting in general surgery procedures Provide robotic surgery assistance Our General Surgery practice has a robust regional referral base and is supported by an extensive primary care network within the UHS system. The team currently includes 11 surgeons and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
