Distribution Center Manager

US-based distribution company is looking to hire a Manager to lead operations for their 180k sq ft Distribution Center in Maryland. The Distribution Center Manager will have full responsibility for leading all day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility, to include the following:Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of 20-30 employeesWork closely with senior leadership to ensure the goals of the warehouse are being metIdentify opportunities to streamline and further automate warehouse operationsOversee all daily warehouse operations including picking, receiving, shipping, maintenance, delivery schedules, and driver routesRespond promptly to any exceptions/issues and provide a high level of customer serviceTrain new employees on company policies, safety compliance, and warehouse proceduresOversee cycle counts and ensure strong inventory controlManage employee scheduling and time cardsInvestigate and resolve any issues in regards to inbound or outbound shipmentsThe Distribution Center Manager must possess the following:10+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience5+ years of management experience including hiring, firing, training, and coachingPrior success with process improvement and driving automationExperience with industrial products preferredForklift CertificationThe specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.Benefits: Health insurance, sick leave, 401(k)SolomonEdwardsGroup, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
