Job DescriptionThe Inventory Manager is accountable for purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and distribution of product through the execution of standard operational policies and procedures. Manages the warehouse team by coordinating, coaching, and performance management. Achieves financial objectives by managing key metrics, identifying opportunities, and developing action plans for improvement. Supports the Service STARS culture and safety leadership in the Market Center to provide a positive workplace. Manages the Market Center?s product inventory, warehouse processes and warehouse employee work group by assigning work orders, ordering and monitoring product inventory levels, supervising the preparation of product loads for route sales, and managing the performance of each warehouse employee to enhance key business metrics and ensure client product needs are met. Responsible for ensuring prompt, pleasant and complete service is provided to internal and external contacts needing product or information. Supports the Service STARS culture and safety leadership in the Market Center to provide a positive workplace.Compensation DataCOMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. For jobs in San Francisco, this includes the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.Job ResponsibilitiesAchieve financial objectives by participating in budget process managing key metrics, identifying opportunities, and developing action plans for improvement.Manages receiving, warehousing, and distribution per the standard operating procedures by organizing, motivating, and encouraging warehouse staff.Procures product by setting a purchasing schedule, coordinating with vendors, and utilizing the warehouse ordering tool to create purchase orders.Maintains the warehouse system to reflect accurate par levels of product, inventory level and proper product master set-up.Enforces food safety requirements through First-in, First-out (FIFO) product rotation, managing date codes, and ensuring temperature requirements are met.Controls inventory levels and product cost by coordinating/conducting weekly physical counts and working closely with Finance Manager to resolve inventory overages and shortages.Optimizes inventory by managing, analyzing trends, and improving product days-on-hand, client fill rate metrics, and other key product metrics.Safegaurds warehouse inventory by establishing and monitoring security procedures.Maintains warehouse layout and slotting both physically and systematicallyEnsure warehouse remains clean and organized and all safety requirements are adhered to and managed.Works closely with location management team and regional support team to continuously improve the operations.Participates and fulfills objectives and initiatives from HeadquartersPerforms other warehouse, administrative and/or operations duties as required.Directs in-bound and out-bound inventories of merchandise, equipment and supplies to ensure efficient storage and utilization of product. Tracks, reconciles, and orders product inventories for the Market Center to effectively manage out-of-stocks, out-of-date product and weeks-on-hand to fulfill client needs. Communicates with affected managers and front line personnel regarding any voids, delays or other product changes that may affect a client delivery as well as to discuss alternative product needs where required to meet client demand. Communicates with vendors as needed to ensure timely delivery of ordered product and equipment. Manages warehouse workforce that receives, stocks, rotates and pulls product and ensures that work is completed using safe practices. Participates in hiring process for warehouse team. Responsible for the training, coaching and performance management of each member of the team. Monitors workflow and ensure proper inventories are pulled for daily routes. Supervises the completion of all daily warehouse work. Models and leads Service STARS culture and safety leadership, and all key initiatives relating to these core values, to provide a positive Market Center environment. Owns and fosters effective communication at all levels of the organization. Maintains all business records and documentation as required to include personnel records, warehouse product and asset inventories, route inventory data and vendor sales, contact and pricing communication. Performs other warehouse, administrative and/or operations duties as required.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Large volume direct purchasing experience ? buying an average of $250k weekly preferredSKU Management & Optimization ? experience managing a volume 500+SKUs preferredInventory Management experience with least $500,000 in ending inventory value preferredHigh School Diploma or G.E.D required. Associate or Bachelor?s degree preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Requires occasional contact involving the exchange of factual information with clients. Requires tact and courtesy dealing with internal and external contacts.Requires a minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in warehouse or related operations with a Bachelor?s Degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma/G.E.D.Excellent team working, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to learn new technologies.
