You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with compliance-driven processes. At C&N, we’re seeking an Appraisal Support Specialist II to support our Appraisal Department in managing and reviewing appraisal activity across the bank. In this role, you’ll assist with ordering and reviewing appraisals, gathering supporting documentation, monitoring compliance standards, and ensuring accuracy throughout the appraisal and evaluation process. You will be responsible for:Appraisal Process Support: Provide administrative support to the Appraisal Department, including ordering appraisals, maintaining approved appraiser files, retrieving courthouse documentation, and obtaining required property information such as floor plans and purchase agreements. Compliance & Review: Review appraisals and evaluations to ensure compliance with USPAP, FDIC, and Secondary Market guidelines. Approve evaluations for accuracy, reasonableness, and credibility. Reporting & Tracking: Prepare and maintain monthly and year-to-date reports on appraisal activity and income. Track appraisal orders, maintain logs, and monitor activity through Third-Party Management Companies. Outside Appraiser Coordination: Manage appraisal orders using approved appraiser lists, monitor orders within assigned regions, and ensure consistency and accuracy of both outside and internal appraisals. Evaluation Support: Assist loan staff in obtaining comparables for evaluations, review completed evaluations for credibility, and maintain records of approved evaluations. Customer Service & Collaboration: Work closely with internal partners to gather necessary information, ensure timely processing, and uphold C&N’s Customer Service Standards. Requirements:Education & Experience – You will need some college or technical school coursework in a related field AND 1-2 years of previous related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Certification – USPAP certification within 180 days of employment Special Requirement – Valid driver’s license (travel within market required) Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas: Knowledge of appraisal processes and reviews Strong communication and technical skills Attention to detail and compliance awareness Ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Key Competencies – The combination of skills, behaviors, and attributes required to perform effectively in a role and achieve organizational goals include: Action Oriented: Acts quickly on challenges, seizes opportunities, and tackles tough issues with a positive attitude.
