Director of Nursing-Registered Nurse (RN)

Heisinger Bluffs Healthcare Western Campus - Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates and monitors the daily activities of nursing staff. Ensures the consistent application of Green Tree Health Care policies; participates in coaching and counseling of nursing staff as necessary. Performs administrative duties, including, but not limited to staff performance evaluations, determining work assignments and scheduling, medical record documentation, completion of Resident Assessments and MDS, and other written and oral reports as required. Supports, evaluates and implements written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.  Maintains accurate staffing levels to meet resident care needs, including monitoring of over time Provides oversight of, and maintain data related to, the Infection Control Management process. Assists with the planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of nursing programs to ensure continuity of residents’ total regiment of care, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.  Participates in pre-admission assessment data collection.  Manage admissions, transfers, and discharge residents as required. Assists with the development and updating of care plans. Monitors, evaluates, and recommends process improvements to meet Community quality, safety and risk management guidelines.  Ensures compliance of reporting processes.  Participates in Committee meetings as needed Monitors and evaluates staff development needs including orientation, performance management, and leading of self-directed work teams.  Monitors nursing practice to maintain a safe work environment, to ensure compliance with Community standards, state and federal regulations.  Assists with in-service education of nursing staff. Participates in survey (inspections) made by authorized agencies. Participates in direct resident care when necessary. May function in the capacity of the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or MDS Coordinator in their absence   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: -Current RN license in Missouri #GREEN123
