Job Description The Infantry serves as the core of the Army, with dedicated Soldiers taking on vital responsibilities in combat operations. You'll engage in taking or holding ground through advanced weaponry and strategic tactics. Key Responsibilities Assist in reconnaissance missions. Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. Operate weapons systems in various conditions, including target engagement using night vision. Manage communications equipment effectively. Perform as a key member of a fire team during training and combat operations. Process prisoners of war and manage captured documents. Support the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry. Use, maintain, and properly store various combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines). Job training for an Infantryman comprises 14 weeks of Basic Training followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT), combining classroom learning with practical, field-based scenarios that simulate combat conditions.
