Operations ManagerThe Operations Manager is responsible for achieving the facility's operating and financial objectives while meeting the expectations of all stakeholders, including ownership, customers, suppliers, and employees. This role provides leadership across yard operations, processing, maintenance, and logistics while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in employee development, operational excellence, and delivering consistent, high-quality service.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute the facility business plan and achieve financial performance targets, including throughput, margins, budgets, and cost controlLead and coordinate yard operations, processing, logistics, maintenance, and commercial activities to ensure safe and efficient operationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, consumers, and service partners; resolve escalated customer or supplier issuesCommunicate and reinforce SIC Recycling's values, safety standards, operating principles, and strategic objectivesLead regular management and employee meetings to ensure alignment, accountability, and communicationCollaborate with other SIC Recycling operations leaders to implement best practices and maintain consistent processes across locationsPartner with corporate leadership on operational, safety, compliance, and process improvement initiativesSupport planning and execution of customer, commercial, and community-facing initiativesOversee facility maintenance, equipment condition, security, environmental compliance, and overall appearance of the propertyRepresent SIC Recycling with key suppliers, consumers, and industry partnersProvide input on hiring, training, development, coaching, and performance management of supervisors, managers, and hourly employeesMaintain effective working relationships with vendors and service providersQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations management35 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferredExperience in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap recycling or related industries is a plusDemonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and manage operational performanceProven experience handling escalated customer and supplier issuesStrong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, cost control, and operational reportingExcellent analytical, planning, problem-solving, and communication skillsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass required drug screening and background checksWork Environment & Physical DemandsWork is performed in an industrial yard and office environmentMay involve exposure to heavy equipment, outdoor weather conditions, and varying noise levelsAbility to walk the yard, climb stairs, and occasionally lift or move materials as requiredFull-Time Benefits PackagePaid Holidays and Vacation TimeHealth, Vision, and Dental InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchRoutine Performance and Pay ReviewsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Safety Equipment AllowanceCompany-Provided UniformsBenefits are subject to change.Pay Information:The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000.
