The Department of Health Policy and Management invites applications for its Assistant /Associate Professor (Tenure Track) position. The successful candidate must possess an interest and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses while demonstrating excellence in teaching. He/She must also possess the ability and willingness to engage in services appropriate to their rank, which includes recruitment of students, working on department projects, developing programs as needed, and evaluating progress in achieving the goals of the department, college, and university. Examples of Duties * Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Health Policy and Management. * Participate and contribute to various committees at the Department, College, and University levels. * Demonstrate a track record of ongoing research and scholarly achievements, publications, and external grant funding. * Applicants in the early phase of his/her career must have an interest in, and the potential to, develop an independently funded program of research. * Serve as student advisor and/or student association advisor. * Participate in community outreach engagements with students. Typical Qualifications * Earned DrPH or Ph.D. in health policy and management, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. * High-quality published research in health policy and management, healthcare management, as well as a service component to the department and college. * Must provide evidence of a successful and impactful research agenda. * Must be able to balance teaching and scholarship, utilize information technology in the classroom, and promote interdisciplinary inquiry and experiential learning.
