Senior Accountant

ShiftIs this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below. 1st ShiftDescription Assist Assistant Controller and Controller with day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, fixed assets, sales and use tax, financial reporting and results analysis. Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations. Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, fixed assets and inventory related accounts. Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed. Assist with general ledger entries, identifying fluctuations and root causes; and reconciling and balancing accounts. Assist with month end and year end closing processes. Prepare and file sales and use tax. Perform additional relevant duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred; preferably in Accounting, Finance or other closely related field. 5+ years relevant, progressive accounting experience; preferably within a similar manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices. Expert technology and computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Physical Requirements Typical office environment utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
