Microbiologist (Food Manufacturing) - 1st Shift

Summary:In this Microbiologist role you will play an important part in food product safety. You will handle routine lab testing, prepare samples, and help monitor the environment to make sure products meet quality standards. The job is suited for someone who has some background in QA and looking to grow their skills or someone who has experience performing micro testing.Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm, hours may vary based on productionPay: Mid to upper $20's, based on experienceResponsibilities:Perform microbiology testing on ingredients, finished products, and environmental samplesPrepare samples and follow established testing proceduresRecord results and report any issues to the appropriate personnelMaintain a clean and organized lab areaCalibrate and clean basic lab equipmentFollow food safety and sanitation proceduresAssist with additional lab tasks as neededQualifications:Associate degree in a science field preferred but not requiredExperience working in a lab or performing microbiology testing ideal but not requiredAbility to follow step-by-step procedures and document results clearlyMust be comfortable working in a food manufacturing environmentStrong attention to detail
