Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered respiratory care in a setting that embraces best practices and relationship-based care. Uphold professional respiratory care standards guided by the AARC Code of Ethics, regional respiratory care regulations, and evidence-based protocols. Demonstrate expertise in respiratory therapy assessments, treatment modalities, life support certifications, critical thinking, and prioritization. Commit to ongoing professional development and educational growth. Essential Responsibilities: Assessment: Conduct thorough age-specific assessments and reassessments. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather comprehensive medical histories. Document findings in accordance with unit policies. Diagnosis: Identify actual or potential physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs. Prioritize patient care based on assessment data. Interpret findings to prepare tailored patient and family education. Planning/Outcome: Work closely with healthcare teams to develop individualized care and education plans aligned with standards of practice. Adjust plans based on patient condition changes and input from patients and families. Implementation: Deliver age-appropriate care using evidence-based interventions. Coordinate with community resources to support care plans. Collaborate with caregivers to ensure cohesive plan execution. Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of respiratory interventions and patient responses. Modify care plans as needed based on evaluations and patient feedback. Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Licensure and Certifications: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Provider by the appropriate state health bureau. Work Shift: 1st Shift, part-time (24 hours weekly) Location: Serving the Midwest region of the United States.
