They are currently looking for a Lab Technician to join their team! This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to get into the life science industry!_ **Pay rate:** $16/hr. -$18/hr. **Location:** Ithaca, NY **Schedule:** 8:45am - 5:30pm **Job type:** 6-month contract - hire **Responsibilities:** + Perform routine laboratory, kitchen, or pilot plant procedures according to established protocols. + Conduct basic to moderately complex tests, analyses, and sample preparation. + Assist supervisors and project leaders with ongoing projects and operational activities. + Prepare, organize, and maintain materials, samples, and equipment for experiments and production runs. + Accurately document procedures, results, and observations. + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment. + Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Provide general support for daily lab, kitchen, or pilot plant operations as assigned. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in a scientific or technical field preferred. + Basic knowledge of laboratory or technical procedures is a plus. + Ability to follow detailed instructions and established protocols. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. + Good communication and documentation skills. + Ability to perform basic physical activities such as standing, lifting light materials, and handling equipment.
