Contract (contract to hire for great candidates)On-site in Issaquah and will become hybrid after training2 openingsThe EDI System Administrator/Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions that support the organization's purchasing and payment processes with suppliers.This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments (Accounting, Buying, Traffic, and eCommerce), external suppliers, and third-party EDI providers. The position is responsible for onboarding and maintaining trading partner relationships, monitoring system performance, resolving transaction errors, and supporting EDI-related projects and system enhancements.The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across technical and business stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesTrading Partner & System SetupSet up and maintain trading partner relationships with suppliersConfigure trading partner profiles within EDI systemsEstablish interconnects with VAN (Value Added Network) providersExchange data requirements and mapping specifications with suppliers and EDI partnersEDI Operations & SupportMonitor EDI data flows and ensure successful transmission of documentsWork with VAN providers to track transaction status and resolve delivery issuesEnsure smooth transition of trading partners from testing to productionData Integrity & MaintenanceMaintain Buy UPC Code data and EDI vendor information recordsAudit system transactions for translation, mapping, and communication errorsReview daily reports to identify and resolve EDI processing issuesInvestigate failed purchase orders, acknowledgements, and missing or incorrect dataTechnical & Business CollaborationPartner with IT teams to support system upgrades, enhancements, and EDI implementationsAssist in developing canonical data models and EDI mapping structuresCoordinate testing and implementation activities across business units and vendorsIssue Resolution & ReportingProvide first-level support for EDI-related issues and escalationsTroubleshoot segments, elements, and transaction failuresMonitor communication sessions for errors and dropped transmissionsProvide status updates and progress reports on assigned workProject & Additional SupportSupport EDI-related projects and system rolloutsAssist with cross-functional initiatives involving Accounting, Buying, OMS, and Traffic teamsPerform additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interpret user requirements and translate them into system needsExperience working with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partnersProficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, and ExcelAbility to work independently and in team environmentsStrong time management and prioritization skillsPreferred QualificationsUnderstanding of enterprise business applications impacted by EDIFamiliarity with departmental workflows (Accounting, Buying, Traffic, OMS)Experience working with suppliers, VAN providers, or EDI translator toolsBasic understanding of EDI syntax, mapping, and transaction setsAbility to read and interpret EDI documentsExperience in Buying, Accounting, OMS, or Supply Chain environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience mentoring or training othersEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related fieldOREquivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
