Job Title: Safety/Loss Prevention ManagerPay: $65,000 - $70,000 (+yearly bonus)Location: Islandia, NY (onsite)Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.Job PurposeThe Safety & Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for leading safety-related training for new hires conducting refresher or annual training for existing employees. This role ensures compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational guidelines including HACCP, OSHA, GMP, and SSOP. Additionally, this position supervises daily loss prevention and security operations at the distribution centers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFacilitate and coordinate employee training programs, including new hire orientation, safety paperwork, and facility tours.Deliver training and certification for Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) operators.Provide Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) training and certification where applicable.Collaborate with employees, managers, HR, and EH&S to ensure training programs meet current legal and regulatory requirements.Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP and other regulatory standards; provide food safety training as needed.Coordinate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to keep HACCP programs compliant and up to date.Offer regular feedback to managers on HACCP compliance and training objectives.Supervise, schedule, and direct loss prevention and security staff operations.Train employees to identify and prevent theft and loss.Issue clear instructions and oversee work to ensure timely and accurate completion.Perform additional duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesCertified Trainer in Powered Material Handling Equipment preferred.Strong organizational and document control skills.Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization abilities.Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.Education and Experience2 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, SSOP, OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory frameworks.Experience with loss prevention programs and contract security operations.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods.Able to access and move throughout warehouse environments.Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions in a distribution setting.Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, and scissor lifts.Travel RequirementsThis role may require occasional travel for training, meetings, or other business-related events.ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
