This role is responsible for assembling complex optical and mechanical components while ensuring system accuracy and performance through testing and alignment procedures. The technician will follow engineering drawings and documented procedures to build and test systems while contributing to production improvements and supporting cross-training within the team. Key Responsibilities Audit work order kits from the warehouse to confirm parts and part numbers.Prepare components for optical and mechanical subassemblies.Follow written procedures or engineering drawings developed by engineers.Suggest process improvements to help optimize production efficiency.Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components.Test system assemblies through multiple production stages using laboratory instruments.Perform alignment, optimization, stability, and transmission testing.Utilize measurement tools such as interferometers and Zygo systems.Package completed assemblies following final testing.Participate in cross-training activities as a trainee and/or trainer. Required Experience 0 2 years of related experience for Level 1 roles.2 3 years of related experience for Level 2 roles.Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.Experience entering data into spreadsheet templates. Nice-to-Have Experience Experience using optical measurement instruments such as interferometers or Zygo systems.Experience working with lasers, optical sensors, or electro-optical systems.
