Southern California | Onsite | Executive-Level P&L Leadership A leading aerospace & defense manufacturing organization (operating within a publicly traded aerospace group) is seeking a Business Unit Manager to lead a $65M+ production portfolio supporting U.S. and allied defense programs. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing integrated teams across Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Safety. The position carries full accountability for Sales, EBITDA, bookings, operational execution, and customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: Lead multiple defense production programs delivering safely, on time, and on budget Drive value-based pricing strategy and oversee proposal development Own monthly/quarterly financial forecasting and long-range planning Present performance updates to executive and corporate leadership Interface directly with U.S. DoD and prime contractor customers Mentor and develop Program Managers and cross-functional leaders Support capital planning, productivity initiatives, and continuous improvement Ideal Background: 10+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing 5+ years leading complex production programs Strong financial acumen (EBITDA, forecasting, pricing strategy) Experience managing DoD or prime contractor relationships Bachelors degree required (Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain preferred) MBA or PMP strongly valued This role requires a strategic, metrics-driven leader who thrives in highly regulated, mission-critical manufacturing environments. ????
