This is a full-time, regular, exempt, benefitted position.Job Duties:Provide industrial skills guided practice or bench activitiesCross train other instructorsSupport skill elevation activitiesEnsure classrooms and other facilities are stocked with materials and suppliesUse My Learning to verify students have the required prerequisites prior to attending trainingCoordinate with the client to verify students have required applications and qualifications applicable to training Identify and notify course owner of errors in course or testing materialsAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of root cause analysis, corrective action, and training related audit and other activitiesShadow and/or 5S (Sorting, Simplifying, Sweeping, Standardizing, Self-Discipline) to improve operational efficiencyFacilitate kittingPerform maintenance and/or file management of electronic and hard copy recordsSupport Operations as a SME with SOJT (Structured on the Job Training) and consultingPrepare pre-class tasks (obtain courseware, exams, set-up, etc.)Perform post class cleaning to restore training area to its original "teach ready" condition in all training areasRequirements:Military or Commercial mechanic backgroundClassroom training or presentation experience Ability to travel 20%Additional preferred skills:Conformal Coat ApplicationsAlodine 600/1201-DPIAssy Blueprint FamiliarizationBond and GroundMeSciCrimping and Connector AssemblyEngaging/DisengagingManufacturing Measuring ToolsMechanical & Structural TorquingModule Swaging and Riveting CertificationMoisture Sensitive Device AwarenessSafety Device InstallationSealingStakingPressure System SafetyLock out tag outCore Certified Mixing Fiber OpticsManufacturing Documents and ProcessesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSGeneral physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.Assignment Location - Huntsville, ALSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Typing, communicating, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
