This position facilitates districtwide systems, designs and delivers professional development, and supports campuses in implementing evidence-based literacy instruction and dyslexia intervention aligned with state guidelines. The role builds district and campus capacity by guiding collaborative teams, strengthening instructional practices, and ensuring consistency and fidelity of Tier I, II, and III literacy supports.Qualifications/Skills: Education/Certification: * Master's degree in reading, literacy, curriculum and instruction, or related field preferred. * Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalent appropriate for the position * ESL certification preferred. * Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law. Special Knowledge/Skills: * Strong knowledge of MTSS/RTI frameworks, literacy development, and structured literacy practices. * Deep understanding of dyslexia characteristics and research-based intervention practices. * Knowledge of State and Federal laws related to dyslexia, Section 504, and IDEA. * Ability to analyze and apply district and campus-level data to inform instructional decisions. * Strong facilitation, presentation, and adult learning skills. * Ability to lead district initiatives and support systemic implementation. * Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to design and deliver high-quality professional development. Experience: * Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of teaching experience. * Experience as a reading interventionist, literacy specialist, or instructional coach preferred. * Experience supporting MTSS/RTI implementation at the campus or district level preferred. Major Duties and Responsibilities: District Leadership & Systems Support: * Lead and support districtwide implementation of MTSS/RTI for literacy * Develop and refine systems, processes, and resources to ensure consistent implementation across campuses * Collaborate with district departments, including Special Education, 504, and Curriculum & Instruction, to align services and supports * Support campuses in establishing effective problem-solving teams and intervention systems * Monitor implementation and provide guidance to ensure fidelity of literacy and dyslexia intervention practices Instructional Facilitation: * Facilitate the implementation of evidence-based literacy instruction and dyslexia intervention across campuses * Support teachers and campus leaders in applying structured literacy practices within Tier I, II, and III instruction * Model and facilitate effective instructional strategies for struggling readers * Guide alignment of curriculum, instruction, and intervention to student needs Professional Development: * Design, coordinate, and deliver districtwide professional development related to literacy, MTSS/RTI, and dyslexia intervention * Provide ongoing, job-embedded professional learning, including modeling, co-planning, and guided practice * Build capacity of campus administrators, teachers, and interventionists to implement evidence-based practices * Support campuses in translating professional learning into effective classroom instruction * Evaluate the effectiveness of professional development and adjust supports accordingly Dyslexia Intervention Support: * Provide district-level support for the implementation of dyslexia intervention programs * Ensure alignment with state guidelines and district expectations for dyslexia instruction * Support campuses in delivering consistent, high-quality services for students with dyslexia * Provide guidance on instructional supports and accommodations Data & Continuous Improvement: * Support campuses in analyzing literacy data to inform instruction and intervention decisions * Assist in developing and maintaining systems for tracking student progress within MTSS * Use data to guide district decision-making and continuous improvement efforts Communication & Collaboration: * Facilitate collaboration among campus and district staff to support student achievement * Build and maintain strong professional relationships across the district * Communicate clearly and effectively with administrators, teachers, and families * Serve as a district resource for literacy, MTSS/RTI, and dyslexia-related practices Other: * Perform other duties as assigned.
