Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine Join a dedicated team providing vital services to our nation's Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Operating in a supportive and professional environment, this role allows you to contribute meaningfully to the community while enjoying the flexibility of locum work. Responsibilities: Perform one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete reports and submit findings, including any necessary addendums. Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts. Maintain a professional and supportive atmosphere for Veterans seeking evaluations. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery is preferred. Demonstrated history with general medicine or compensation and pension evaluations is a plus. Must have a willingness to complete necessary DMA training and become DMA certified. License and Certification Requirements: Active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in Missouri. Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Must own a compatible laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
