Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare services to our nation's veterans. This role involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across the country, catering specifically to the needs of veterans.In this position, you will have the opportunity to work either at a Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) facility or in your own office, depending on current needs. Candidates must have their own office to see veterans if located more than 50 miles from a VES facility. Quick credentialing and onboarding processes ensure you can start making an impact right away! Key Responsibilities: Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform primarily interview-based exams, including some physical assessment such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment involved in this role. Complete all required administrative work as needed, including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics. Be available for PRN shifts, with options to work half days (4 hours) and full days (8 hours). Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products). Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) is required. A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri. Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification. License and Certification Requirements: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri (MO).
