Job Description:
Provides clinical case management and group therapeutic intervention services to Veterans admitted to the Domiciliary, which includes those Veterans needing support in DCHV (Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans) programming, addictions treatment, general mental health treatment, and PTSD treatment. This position will function within the Addiction Disorder Services (ADS) Track within the Domiciliary. Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Provides evidence based therapeutic interventions in encounters with Veterans to promote recovery and successful transition to community living and care. Therapeutic interventions will be specifically delivered in treatment modalities for addictions, substance abuse and dependence, complex mental health conditions, and PTSD. They will conduct group and individual therapy to support these specialty modalities. The incumbent may design, plan and conduct various psycho-social educational classes and process groups related to helping the veterans understand mental health and their needs and the impact on them and their whole life system of support. The incumbent is responsible for completing the following duties/responsibilities: * Conducts psychosocial assessments to determine needs of veterans and family members. * Participates in the treatment planning process with the Veteran as well as with other disciplines. * Coordinates and refers care with other disciplines and will be responsible for ensuring that the treatment plan is executed in a manner that is timely and appropriate. * Provides individual, family and group counseling to support treatment and recovery of Veterans experiencing addictions, complex mental health conditions, and PTSD. * Provides consultation/education to veterans and families on community resources, advance directives and VA benefits. * Acts as a consultant, mentor, and/or trainer to other team/staff members. * Coordinates with VA and community resources, to include marketing and public relation duties as needed. * Provides case management/coordination to veterans. They will engage family and other supports to promote recovery for Veterans. * Assists the Veteran and family in understanding contributing factors to problems, discuss solutions, and encourage lasting changes to reduce stressors. Occasional driving of government owned or leased vehicles may be required to transport Veterans. A current, valid state-issued driver's license is required for this position. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until May 29, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be April 6, 2026, with subsequent cut-off dates on the 1st of each month. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled.
