Job DescriptionJennie Stuart Health is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Pharmacy Business Support Specialist to provide administrative, operational, and regulatory support for the pharmacy department. This role helps ensure efficient daily processes, supports purchasing and inventory functions, assists with quality and compliance activities, and serves as a key liaison for internal teams, vendors, and pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the pharmacy department while maintaining a high level of customer serviceProcess routine financial transactions, including orders, invoices, and discrepancy resolutionMaintain spreadsheets, databases, reports, charts, and other departmental recordsCoordinate purchasing, receiving, and supply support for assigned entitiesCommunicate recalls, stock shortages, and other supply-related issues to leadership and customers as neededAssist with inventory activities to help meet internal audit requirementsSupport clinical quality measurement activities, including chart review, data abstraction, reporting, and deadline-based submissionsMonitor and analyze reporting related to diversion monitoring and the 340B ProgramAssist with audits, inspections, regulatory compliance efforts, and controlled substance documentation and storage processesServe as a liaison for automated dispensing cabinet issues and pharmacy regulatory compliance mattersSupport pharmacy technician functions as needed for drug distribution operationsMaintain confidentiality and follow all hospital safety, compliance, and regulatory requirementsQualificationsCollege degree in business, computer science, or a related field preferred, or an applicable state pharmacy technician license with at least three years of experience in a healthcare, purchasing, or business-related environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong computer and database skillsExcellent organizational, customer service, and follow-through skillsAbility to analyze data, prepare reports, and manage multiple projects at onceAbility to interpret business documents, financial information, and operational dataStrong judgment, initiative, and attention to detailLicensure/Certification RequirementsMust be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician in Training in the applicable state(s) of practiceNew hires or transfers may begin with a pending application but must obtain Pharmacy Technician in Training status within 30 daysMust obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation within one year of employment unless exempted by manager discretionPhysical RequirementsThis position is classified as light work and may require standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting or moving of materials.Why Join Jennie Stuart Health?At Jennie Stuart Health, our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of our community with a compassionate and caring spirit.
