Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is an armed and driving position, requiring you to respond swiftly and professionally to various situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or incidents. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols. Communicate clearly and promptly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters. Adhere to all regulations and guidelines specific to government locations and armed patrol posts, including the proper handling and carrying of assigned firearms.Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is required. At least six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
