This role heavily focuses on scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on a diverse fleet of refuse trucks and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.This is a stable, long‑term opportunity for entry to mid-level mechanics looking to grow with an industry leader while working in a safety‑focused, team‑driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance services and mechanical repairs on fleet vehicles and equipmentFamiliarity with Cummins, Paccar, Freightliner and International systems a plusConduct routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standardsReview and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)Complete accurate documentation using fleet maintenance software, including parts usage and labor timeCommunicate clearly with senior mechanic and/or Maintenance Manager regarding required repairs and vehicle statusMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform additional maintenance related tasks as needed. DOEWelding experience preferred but not requiredQualifications1+ year of experience in truck or diesel equipment maintenance and repair ORcompletion of an accredited vocational or technical diesel program. Entry level individuals will also be considered.
