We are proud of our strong history that has led us to be in business for more than 40 years.HR AdministratorThe HR Administrator is responsible for supporting and executing core human resources functions in a small company environment. This role focuses on payroll processing, 401(k) and benefits administration, recruiting support, and oversight of administrative office personnel. The ideal candidate has a high standard of ethics, is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple HR functions with accuracy and confidentiality.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll AdministrationProcess and manage payroll accurately and on scheduleMaintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, and tax filingsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsCoordinate with external payroll providers as neededResolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries401(k) & Retirement Plan AdministrationAdminister the company's 401(k) plan, including enrollments, changes, and distributionsEnsure compliance with plan requirements and regulatory guidelinesCoordinate with plan providers, auditors, and advisorsAssist employees with questions regarding retirement benefitsEmployee Benefits CoordinationManage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and other offeringsCoordinate open enrollment processes and employee communicationsLiaise with benefits providers and brokersMaintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely updatesAssist employees with benefits-related questions and claims issuesTrack employee benefit time offHR Compliance & RecordkeepingMaintain employee records in accordance with legal requirementsSupport compliance with labor laws and company policiesAssist in developing and updating HR policies and proceduresManaging FMLA, disability and other employee paperworkRecruiting & Onboarding SupportAssist with job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordinationSupport hiring managers throughout the recruitment processParticipation in career fair/expos, interview processFacilitate new hire onboarding and orientationOffice Administration OversightSupervise and support administrative office personnelEnsure efficient day-to-day office operationsAssist leadership with general administrative and operational needsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or administrative roleStrong knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administrationFamiliarity with 401(k) plan administration and compliance requirementsExperience supporting recruiting and onboarding processesExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialityWork EnvironmentSmall company setting requiring flexibility and collaborationAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needsIn office work environmentReports to: Director, Organizational DevelopmentDisclaimerThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
