Position Type: Summer School Progam Date Posted: 3/27/2026 Location: Lakeshore Elementary Date Available: 06/15/2026 Closing Date: Until filled Additional Information: Show/Hide Notice of Summer School Program Posting Position: Summer School Kinder Camp Assistants K-5 Posting # 3949 Lakeshore Elementary School Posting Dates: March 27, 2026 Reports To: Summer School Coordinator Beginning: June 15 July 31, 2026 8:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Monday-Friday 25 hours/week Qualifications: * CDA (Child Development Associate) credentials, or the willingness to obtain the CDA preferred * Obtain and maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid * Experience working with children and teaching them developmentally appropriate skills. * Demonstrate good attendance, punctuality and excellent communication/organizational skills. * Demonstrates friendliness, dependability and trustworthiness towards others. Job Responsibilities: * Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum to create an engaging learning environment. * Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development * Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with lead teachers to tailor educational approaches. * Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on children's development and participating in home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and student-data meetings. * Adhere to state licensing regulations and program policies, maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: * Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. * Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
