Shipping Dock Operator

Job Title Job Purpose: Stage, load and unload raw materials in designated areas and flow racks. Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): Load and unload raw materials from truck in a timely manner. Verify what you have off-loaded and submit proper paperwork to receiving clerks promptly. Stage and put up conforming raw materials that QC has inspected in designated areas and flow racks. Complete daily inspection sheets. Operate within standard operating procedures and our safety procedure and policies. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Maintain good housekeeping (5S). Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Other duties as assigned. Cross train to learn other positions in the receiving area and assist in those positions as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is a requirement. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Detail Oriented Technical Competencies: Forklift Operator Certification Non-Technical Competencies: Good Organizational Skills Good Communication Skills Exhibit a professional demeanor Must be able to follow directions given by superior. Will be asked to cross train in order to fill vacant positions as needed.
