Overview Prairie Engineers is seeking a licensed IL Structural Engineer with experienced bridge or building structural design knowledge to join our team. What You Will Do Design and develop construction documents with a focus on managing design projects. Perform and review structural engineering calculations, coordinating with other disciplines and detailing project-specific conditions. Perform field observation visits to observe and document structural conditions. Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects. Take ownership of tasks with dependable performance. Mentor and support the development of junior staff. Focus on client relationships, satisfaction, and project delivery with attention to detail and deadlines. What You Need Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: Minimum 8+ years of relevant design experience. Licensure: Illinois Structural Engineer licensure. Knowledge: Solid understanding of industry best practices, techniques, and standards in building design and Missouri/Illinois DOTs. Structural Software: Proficiency with Revit and familiarity with other structural analysis and CAD software (RISA, Enercalc, STAAD). What You Can Add More Education: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. More Licensure: Multiple state PE licensures.
