An opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher to serve K-12 students on an itinerant basis throughout the district in Hickory, NC, approximately 45 minutes from Charlotte. This contract position is ideal for a new Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) looking to begin the 2026-2027 school year with hands-on experience across multiple school locations. Key Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), new graduates encouraged to apply Ability to provide itinerant services throughout the district, supporting students in various school settings Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff Flexibility to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs across grades K-12 Willingness to travel throughout the district with a valid driver's license Location: Hickory, NC - 45 minutes from Charlotte, offering a supportive environment for educational professionals.
